Last Thursday marked the 79th anniversary of “Take Your Children to Work Day”, an American tradition since 1933 and an important day for up-and-coming young minds to get “hands-on” experience in the workplace. We had the pleasure of hosting Sydney, an intelligent and charismatic 10-year-old young woman, and the daughter of our longtime superintendent, Charles Vigil. Sydney‘s work day started bright n’ early as she piled in Charlie’s big work truck and set out to inspect several of our job sites… and even had the opportunity to operate some heavy equipment along the way. Together with her dad and other EBC employees, Sydney got to experience what the construction industry has to offer and received extensive training on safety in the construction field. Fitted in her safety vest, goggles and hardhat, Sydney visited the demolition phase of her dad’s jobsite at Senor Murphy’s, made sure all was up to par at Fiesta Care and inspected structural framing on our General Superintendent’s job. Sydney reported no findings on her inspections and gave EBC a “thumbs up” for safety! Thank you to Sydney for spending a day with dad and the ol’ Enterprise Builders’ gang!  We hope to inspire the youth of today, who will soon become the workforce of tomorrow!
