New Award Podium for Special Olympics New Mexico
05/15/2018 by Enterprise Builders
Start with some hands-on help from our carpentry apprentices, mix some Special Olympics New Mexico (SONM) athletes with paint and what do you get?? A new Award Podium for SONM State Games!
Over the course of May, our Casework Shop worked to create a curriculum aimed at allowing our apprentices to have some hands-on time in our casework to help build a wheelchair accessible podium for Special Olympics New Mexico. After the podiums were complete, we invited a group from SONM to help paint. The athletes, coaches, staff and family members had a great time their hands dirty for a great cause.
The podium will allow all athletes to proudly display their medals and will have enough room to accommodate more athletes and sponsors.
Kudos to Leo Aragon & Gavino Lopez for spearheading the design and construction! And thank you to all those who lent a helping hand!

Arriving at the decision to come up with a new logo is no easy task.
Questions run through your mind like- What will the new logo look like? Will everyone like it? Is it going to last? Will it be recognizable? We started pondering the decision to rebrand about a year ago when we introduced the final members of our eight person shareholder team (more details coming soon!!!). We looked at the old logo, which has been around for over 25 years, and decided we need a logo to showcase the forward progress of our company and our vision for the next 10 years and beyond. So, we developed a new logo with different angles and forward movement because that's the direction of our company and industry. Our company is not confined to a square, we are forever in motion. We look to be innovative yet remain true to our humble beginnings and ongoing dedication to service. Thus, part of our design incorporates the original look of the "EB". We combined the new with the old and came up with our new design (see below). We hope you like it as much as we do.
Stay tuned for more about the new logo and what it means to our shareholders.
Here's our old logo:
A Decade of Service for Three Team Members
06/25/2015 by Enterprise Builders
Congratulations to Kari Juvera, Paulie White and April Leon-Guerrero for a Decade of Service with Enterprise Builders Corporation!
Not many contractors can brag about the tenure of their employees, but that's what sets us apart from the rest. We have a list of longtime employees and we enjoy celebrating their service to the construction industry. Recently, we celebrated the accomplishments of Kari, Paulie and April during our annual Company Picnic in which each were presented with a watch. This milestone marks 10 years of hard work, service, dedication and success, which has greatly contributed to EBC's success as a whole. Each member of this year's "10 Year Watch Class" serves a different role within our company and proves that collaboration mixed with dedication makes for well tuned machine. Again, hats off to Kari Juvera (VP of Finance & Shareholder), Paulie White (Carpenter) and April Leon-Guerrero (Project Assistant) for a decade of service. They are an integral part of our team and Enterprise Builders Corporation wouldn't be the same without them!
We Marched for Babies!
05/11/2015 by Enterprise Builders
Our EBC Team took to Presbyterian Rev. Hugh Cooper Administrative Center on Saturday, May 9, 2105 to March for Babies! With family and blankets in tow, our employees proudly kicked off a weekend with a nice stroll around "The Cooper Center"/ Balloon Fiesta Park to support March of Dimes. This organization has contributed to our global community for decades through their eradication of childhood diseases as well as medicinal and technological advances that helped so many babies. We were touched by their mission and delighted to take part in a community partnership to provide better futures for babies. We welcome opportunities to be part of partnerships to benefit New Mexico and have some amazing staff members willing to contribute to such worthy causes. “Building a Client-Centric Company” and ABF General Contractor List
04/30/2015 by Enterprise Builders
Recently, our very own David Doyle was interviewed by Albuquerque Business First's Mike English. He explored the reasoning behind the success of Dave and our company and came to the conclusion that are two things that define us- our clients and our employees. Without doubt, we believe this to be true. Our success is testament of a hardworking workforce and some phenomenal clients we consider friends. We were built on integrity and risk and thankfully we have reaped much reward over the past 27 years. We are honored to be named one of the Top 10 General Contractors according to ABF's annual list. Jim Bleakley Retires
03/03/2015 by by Enterprise Builders
For over a quarter of a century, Jim Bleakley has been a dedicated superintendent to the Enterprise Builders team, and on February 27th he officially retired. It is bittersweet knowing Jim has hung up his hard hat for the last time, but we honor the man who has been alongside EBC since the very beginning. Jim is one of EBC’s original 5 hires and maintains a large portfolio of projects, hundreds of industry friends and has been an integral member of our training team. Many fellow employees and other contractors have had the pleasure of working with him and learning from one the industry’s best. EBC is one of the “Top Workplaces 2014”
06/03/2014 by Enterprise Builders
Enterprise Builders Corporation is proud to be named one the "Top Workplaces 2014" according the Albuquerque Journal. This coveted award is more meaningful than most because it comes directly from employee feedback. In March we achieved an 84% response rate from an anonymous survey given to our employees. Based on the results we were deemed one of the "Top Workplaces" and this is an honor we take seriously. After all, it's our employees (most of whom have been with us for over 10 years) who keep our clients happy and our doors open. It's safe to say, we have the best employees around town. Guest Chefs for a Day
04/30/2014 by Enterprise Builders
Our annual watermelon carving contest was a success as we took to the kitchen of the Ronald McDonald House to take part in their Guest Chef Program. Chicken flautas were on the menu along with some yummy sides and of course, watermelon creatures! This year, Luke (estimator/project manager) and April (assistant project manager) took part in the carving festivities and their designs were… well, let’s just say this year’s theme was “<possible>creatures of the earth”.
Needless to say, we had a blast as always. We always enjoy partaking in team building for a wonderful cause.
This year, Ralph, Josh, Kari, Chris, Luke, April, Amanda and Alex suited up in aprons and brought their cooking skills to the Roanld McDonald House.
Thank you to the Ronald McDonald House for your dedication to our community!

EBC Donates Courtyard to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital
12/15/2013 by Enterprise Builders
Enterprise Builders Corporation, along with industry allies, came together to construct a beautiful courtyard for the patients of Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital. The courtyard is located on the south side of the building and offers patients a tranquil outdoor environment. Having accessibility to host patients in an open-air shaded setting with fresh plants, and a relaxing water feature will certainly be a benefit to those visiting the hospital. The meditative environment can be used for outdoor events, therapeutic rejuvenation or a simple break from the hospital’s hustle and bustle. We’re proud to be part of this wonderful addition to the Kaseman campus, which was made possible with the help of the Presbyterian Foundation. Photos were taken during a luncheon honoring the completion of the project on 11/13/13
Toys for Tots
11/13/2013 by Enterprise Builders
Thank you all for your donations benefiting Toys for Tots!
With the generous help of employees, community partners, friends and family, Enterprise Builders was able to donate two boxes with overflowing toys!
A special thank you to our brave soldiers for their service to our country and community!
What an incredible year 2013 is shaping up to be! Not only are we celebrating 25 great years in business, but now we’re able to add the American Subcontractor’s Association’s General Contractor of the Year Award to our milestone celebration. We are unbelievably proud of our team’s efforts that have led to this honor. However, we are even more thrilled for Darren Lewis who received the award for Superintendent of the Year and Josh Bazinet who walked away with the First Runner Up for Project Manager of the Year! These two men certainly deserve the recognition they received and we couldn’t be happier for them.
These awards are particularly meaningful because the winners are chosen directly by the ASA membership, which is comprised of the men/women we directly work with on jobs- from subcontractors, suppliers, bankers, insurance brokers and other industry allies.
Congratulations to Darren, Josh and the EB Team who ended the night with a total sweep, winning awards in every category in which we were nominated.
Thank you ASA for hosting a rockin’ evening!
2013 Company Picnic

Celebrating 25 Years
06/25/2013 by Enterprise Builders
Did you notice some changes to our website?
Well, that would be part of our 25th Anniversary Celebration!
25 years is something to celebrate! Especially for a company who has made it through several difficult economic climates. It takes innovation, adaptability and an unsurpassed level of determination to prosper. All these qualities are embodied by the men/women of EBC who are elevating the company to greater heights. Certainly, 2013 is bringing many great opportunities to EBC, after landing the largest job to date, Presbyterian Rev. Hugh Cooper Administration Center Phase II, and celebrating a silver anniversary milestone. As part of an eight month celebration, EBC will be holding employee and client events and utilizing a specially designed 25 year logo. The new logo includes a montage of photos from past projects highlighting some our prized buildings. Thank to all of whom have contributed to our success! We are incredibly humbled by the support of our employees, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, professional organizations and the business community as a whole.
Total Wine Uptown
06/24/2013 by Enterprise Builders
The rapidly expanding Uptown retail district is now home to Total Wine & More. The repurposed building was once a lavish office space for Morgan Stanley Smith-Barney, which now resides in Two Park Square (and was proudly renovated by EBC in 2011). Now, the newly renovated superstore is 23,400 sf of pure “wine-bliss” with endless rows of wine, beers, spirits, cigars, accessories and more. The transformation began with major demolition of the existing office space, which consisted of an array of glass panels, wood accents and stone countertops. Structural changes to the existing masonry walls were needed to create a 24’ x 42’ delivery dock on the southwest end of the building and special traffic coordination was carefully pre-planned to account for the confined parking area. As the interior of the building took shape, the center remained an open market while the perimeter became home to several walk-in coolers, a cigar humidifier and a stunning wine tasting room. Only top-of-the-line finishes were used to decorate the store including custom shelving and display drawers, low V.O.C. flooring, vibrant floating signs with wood backing and decorative steel window coverings with grapevine cutouts. Ductwork was gently painted and left exposed for added depth to the building’s naturally tall ceilings. Total Wine & More is a fine example of a collaborative project in which the developer, architect and corporate firm were equally involved in the project execution resulting in a stunning store built on a foundation of trust.Address 6701 Uptown Blvd. NE Developer Geltmore, Inc. ABC/CNM Running Start for Careers Program
04/04/2013 by Enterprise Builders
We had a great time taking APS High School students around our jobsites last month!
With the help of Ralph Baldwin (CEO), Darren Lewis (Superintendent) and Josh Bazinet (Project Manager), we had a great opportunity to share some of our projects with 15 high school seniors enrolled in the Running Start for Careers Program. This program is for APS high school seniors/juniors registered in the Associated Builders & Contractors and Central New Mexico Community College dual-enrollment course for skilled construction trades. This tour is part of an ongoing series of educational fieldtrips that allow students to physically touch and watch buildings come to life while instilling the importance of the skilled construction work. Students in the Running Start for Careers Program are seeking opportunities in various trades but all have a common interest in the construction industry.
It’s always great to see young minders eager learn about the construction industry, and it’s always incredibly rewarding to be able to share our experiences with them.
Ground Breaking- Peak Motion Physical Therapy
01/09/2013 by Enterprise Builders
Tomorrow we will officially celebrate the ground breaking of Peak Motion Physical Therapy!
Last Friday we celebrated the Associated Builders and Contractors’ Excellence in Construction Awards at the Hotel Andaluz. The evening was full of several industry leaders, and contributors to the Albuquerque community, who toasted to the stunning construction projects of 2012 and commended projects with the greatest impact. The awards presented during this event are part of a merit competition to distinguish and recognize the highest quality of craftsmanship in the construction industry.
We are humbled to have received two Awards of Merit for Morgan Stanley and Rio Grande Brew Pub, and we are proud to be recognized for our efforts during the GSA Project @ Mesa Del Sol as we were presented with the coveted Eagle Award. This was our fist Eagle Award and it brought with it a great sense of accomplishment to the project team and company. At Enterprise Builders Corporation, we continuously strive to provide our clients with the highest quality craftsmanship, superior safe building practices, knowledge of the project and customer service skills to exceed their every expectation.

Family, Friends and Fall!
10/15/2012 by Enterprise Builders
There is no better way to bring in the fall season than with family, friends and the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
With our office being so close to Balloon Fiesta Park, we decided to celebrate the coming of fall and Albuquerque’s favorite annual event with a good ol’ cookout. Many of our EB employees and their families joined us on October 11th to enjoy an evening at the office complete with a craft table, pumpkins, kids’ jumper and plenty of laughs to go around. Our company owners served up a feast for our 75 guests but the biggest hit of the night was the pumpkin decorating contest. All the little ones worked to create some spooky, cute and creative pumpkins all of which were judged by our very own, Ralph Baldwin. After careful examination (and a swarm of eager kids) he couldn’t make up his mind and declared every kid a winner! Everyone got some neat take-home bags with fun Halloween goodies and glow sticks. The weather did not permit the balloons to glow for the evening, but we still had front row seats to the Firework Show so we scurried down to the fence line and sat in truck beds to enjoy the evening display.
Fun times were had by all as we celebrated a beautiful autumn evening!
During a luncheon on August 26th, held at Sandia Resort & Casino, 100 great companies from the state of New Mexico were credited for their dedication to our community based on job creation, financial standing and assistance to our community via charitable contributions. After eight inactive years, Moss Adams and Bank of America/Merrill Lynch teamed up to reintroduce this program to our community and to promote small businesses and their impact on our communal economy. The Private 100 showcases only privately owned businesses, offering an inside perspective into the often overlooked small business sector and commending owners who continuously strive to keep New Mexicans employed. We are honored to be recognized as one of New Mexico’s Private 100 Companies! 08/26/2012 by Enterprise Builders
On August 16th we were honored for our safe building practices as the Associated Builders & Contractors NM presented us with the 2012 SAFETYMAN Award! "The SAFETYMAN Award recognizes contractors for their commitment to employees' safety. It was created in Aviano, Italy in 1993 by Bill DeVinny of AON Risk Insurance Services West, Inc., while serving as the Safety Manager for the Aviano Air Base. SAFETYMAN brought safety, awareness and lower accident rates to the military personnel through his adventures on the base radio show. The Safety Steering Committee brought him out of retirement last year" -Roberta Chavez, ABC-NM "Safety is a Corporate Value!" It is the most important part of every job and our top priority.
08/05/2012 by August 6, 2012 by Enterprise Builders
On Thursday, July 19, armed with skillets and spatulas, EBC employees and family members cooked up a feast for the residents at the Ronald McDonald House. We stewed up some homemade chili for Frito pies, carved sharks out of watermelons and prepped salad for about 60 residents. With a kitchen full of laughter and humble employees eager to cook for a good cause, all of our chefs agreed this was a great success. Although EBC has always been very generous with monetary donations, we find it so much more meaningful to go out and directly help those in need. We all really enjoyed “getting our hands dirty”, especially for an organization whose contributions to our community are exceedingly generous. We hope to do this again soon! View Press Release Here.

Congratulations to our ABC Apprenticeship Graduate!
Last Thursday marked the 79th anniversary of “Take Your Children to Work Day”, an American tradition since 1933 and an important day for up-and-coming young minds to get “hands-on” experience in the workplace. We had the pleasure of hosting Sydney, an intelligent and charismatic 10-year-old young woman, and the daughter of our longtime superintendent, Charles Vigil. Sydney‘s work day started bright n’ early as she piled in Charlie’s big work truck and set out to inspect several of our job sites… and even had the opportunity to operate some heavy equipment along the way. Together with her dad and other EBC employees, Sydney got to experience what the construction industry has to offer and received extensive training on safety in the construction field. Fitted in her safety vest, goggles and hardhat, Sydney visited the demolition phase of her dad’s jobsite at Senor Murphy’s, made sure all was up to par at Fiesta Care and inspected structural framing on our General Superintendent’s job. Sydney reported no findings on her inspections and gave EBC a “thumbs up” for safety! Thank you to Sydney for spending a day with dad and the ol’ Enterprise Builders’ gang! We hope to inspire the youth of today, who will soon become the workforce of tomorrow!

Presbyterian Kaseman- Emergency Room Department
03/05/2012 by March 6, 2012 by Enterprise Builders
It is still hard to believe that another year has officially come to an end. With the construction industry still seeking salvation from the harsh economic storm, we rely on what has helped us weather these difficult times in years past- our EB Family. Dave and Ralph made a commitment 24 years ago to be a value builder, not a volume builder, and we still stay true to our core values by remembering to give thanks to those who have helped EBC achieve success, especially our employees. In place of our annual Employee Christmas Party, we decided to begin the New Year in style by inviting our employees to take part in a Kickoff Celebration at the office. With laughter, good food and the best company, Dave and Ralph led us in a “cheers” to 2012. Together, we celebrated our triumphs of 2011 including the completion of Fresquez Food Court, North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center, Morgan Stanley TI, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, CFV Solar, First Financial Credit Unions (3) and the list goes on and on… Our success not only lies in the quality of our buildings but on the dedication of our employees who remain committed to our vision so we can add value to New Mexico, and continue to build upon our relationships with each other, clients, architects and industry allies. We continue to add Value to New Mexico, one building at a time. Happy New Year!
01/04/2012 by January 5, 2012 by Enterprise Builders

In the 2011 edition, Enterprise Builders Corporation was ranked 11th on the List of General Contractors based on 2010 NM contract billings. In support of the NMBW Book of Lists, we decided to promote our success by submitting an ad showcasing one our latest projects, the Immigration & Customs Enforcement Building @ Mesa del Sol- Photos coming soon. Congratulations to our ABC Apprenticeship Graduates!
08/29/2011 by Enterprise Builders
In mid June, we celebrated the graduation of two employees from the Associated Builders and Contractors' Apprenticeship Program. After years of hard work, both in the classroom and on the job, Clayton Arellano and Cathy Clement were honored for their dedication during a ceremony at Sandia Casino and Resort. Amongst a room full Apprenticeship graduates, both past and present, these folks stood proudly as they received their merit certificate and personalized jackets from ABC.
Ralph Baldiwn, Josh Bazinet, April Leon-Guerrero and Alexandra Pulliam all attended the evening event and cheered on their co-workers. Those in attendance are incredibly proud to be working alongside such great, dedicated individuals.
Congratulations to all of this year’s graduates!
EBC Makes Dinner at Ronald McDonald House
07/13/2011 by Enterprise Builders
EBC employees took off safety vests for an afternoon and changed into kitchen aprons while taking part in the Ronald McDonald House Charity’s Guest Chef Program!
Armed with skillets and spatulas, EBC employees and some friends from Cauwels & Stuve Realty & Development Advisors cooked up a feast for the residents at the Ronald McDonald House. We sizzled up some scrumptious fajitas, black bean salad, Spanish rice, pasta salad and brownies for about 30 residents. For many of the chefs it was their first time going to the House and with a kitchen full of laughter, and admiration for the residents, everyone agreed this was a great success. Although EBC has always been very generous with monetary donations, we find it so much more meaningful to go out and directly help those in need. We all really enjoyed “getting our hands dirty”, especially for an organization whose contributions to our community are exceedingly generous.
On May 26th, Enterprise Builders Corporation hosted a site tour for memebers of Construction Financial Management Accounting (CFMA) at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Building at Mesa Del Sol. Kari Juvera, CFO, prepared a delicious homemade sack lunch for visitors and Josh Bazinet, VP Project Management/Estimating, conducted a tour of the site. Josh gave CFMA members the chance to check out a mock-up of the building's finishes and to explore the interior of this 75,000 sf blast-proof building. Our visitors were treated to a first-hand opportunity to take a peek at our upcoming projects and to connect with our industry partners to discuss techniques that can work for everyone. We enjoy hosting events that gather our community partners!
Ralph and Dave believe that people make the difference at Enterprise Builders, and the value of relationships extends to each of their 30 employees. The turn-over rate is minimal, and several employees have been with the company since its inception over 23 years ago. Employee satisfaction leads to quality workmanship and project safety, which remain top priorities for Enterprise Builders.
